2face is honoured at the Nigerian Entertainment Conference

2face was on Friday, April 26, 2013, honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the first Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NEC) which held at the Grand Ball Room of the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The award was in recognition of his notable contributions to the entertainment industry in Nigeria.
Speaking on the reason for the recognition, the convener of the conference and publisher of Nigeria Entertainment Today (NET)newspaper, Ayeni Adekunle, said: “The award is exclusively for notable entertainment practitioners who have performed well in their respective fields.
“2face has done very well in the development of the Nigerian entertainment industry to the level we have it today. He is a pacesetter and innovator and we are proud to honour him.”
The award was given to 18 other legends of the Nigerian entertainment industry. They include: Veteran music producer, Nelson Brown; Afro beat legend, Femi Kuti; Nightshift Coliseum creator, Ken Caleb-Olumese; Juju legend, King Sunny Ade and godfather of Nigerian comedy, Ali Baba.
Others were Fuji icon, K1; revered movie makers, Amaka Igwe and Tunde Kelani; distinguished publishers, Kunle Bakare, Mayor Akinpelu and Femi Akintunde Johnson; music superstars, Dbanj and Don Jazzy and showbiz practitioner, Edi Lawani.
Prominent music label and media bosses, Kenny Ogungbe and Dayo Adeneye as well as Nigeria’s number one DJ, DJ Jimmy Jatt completed the list.
