The Unilag leg of the Campus Connect: 2face and Friends Tour 2013 has been postponed.

This decision was announced on Friday by the organisers of the tour "due to unforeseen logistic challenges".

The tour will however continue as scheduled but will now start with the University of Benin stop on Thursday, May 9. Uniport will follow on Tuesday, May 14; IMT Enugu will be on Thursday, May 16 while UniAbuja will be on Thursday, May 23.

Unilag was initially billed to kick-off the tour on Tuesday, May 7 but the new arrangement would see Unilag as the final school to be visited once the issues have been taken care of.

The Campus Connect: 2face and Friends Tour 2013 is being produced by NM En.Core and sponsored by Nigeria’s No.1 premium non-alcoholic brand, Low-Sugar Amstel Malta while Soundcity is the official media partner.

The tour which would see 2face reunited with his university roots also has a clutch of artistes in tow. They include: Hypertek’s hot boys Dammy Krane and Rocksteady alongside Vector, and long-time collaborator Sound Sultan.

Other class acts billed for the tour include Sasha P, Seyi Shey, Timi Dakolo, Phyno, Crystals, Harrisong, Capital F.E.M.I Solid Star and Jus’ Kiddin’s EFA.

Regional cameos will include crowd pleasers like Christian, Nonny D, Fame, Errigga, Mr. 2Kay, Maxi, Sele Bobo, Tee Gee, Dil, Ameena, Shyne, MC Amanna and Ruff Coin. The gigs will be hosted by the king of kool himself, Andre Blaze.

2face earlier spoke of his excitement at returning to perform in schools after almost a decade of absence.

“I’m looking forward to my return to the campus circuit. It’s been a long time. Due to timing and availability issues I have been unable to play some of these venues in like eight years or more and for me, this is big deal. It’s going to be an emotional return to these campuses. I have received and still enjoy massive support from these spots. They are my personal people,” he said.
