American rap star, Nas (real name, Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones) is recovering fast from the health scare that spawned his hospitalisation at a New York City hospital last Friday.

The hip hop start scared his fans on the day when he was rushed to the hospital after experiencing some dizziness. He was subsequently diagnosed with vertigo, and he was under the doctor's care for several hours, meaning he had no choice but to cancel a Friday morning appearance on Live with Kelly & Michael.

Reports have now emerged that the medical scare was not serious and the rapper was released hours later.

“Peace y'all. I'm out of the ER & doin alright,” Nas later wrote to his fans on Twitter. “I'm on bed rest for a few days. Apologies to everyone @ Live w/ Kelly & Michael. I'll make it up.”

Only recently on New Year’s Ever, NAs concluded the 18-city Life is Good/Black Rage tour with Lauryn Hill, bringing to the end a two-month run that begun in Maryland in October 2012 and ended with a hometown show at New York's Radio City Music Hall.
